Ferry to Spetses

Take the ferry to Spetses, an island in Greece’s Saronic Islands, for a holiday of waterfront walks and pine-fringed coves. Dapia, the central harbour in Spetses town, places you beside the island’s lively waterfront, with narrow streets leading inland between traditional houses. The Old Harbour lies farther east along the coast, while nearby Hydra and the Peloponnese mainland help place the island within a wider Greek itinerary. Explore ferry options for your travel dates and book the journey that suits your plans.

Ferry Travel to Spetses

Spetses is an island in Greece’s Saronic Islands, with Dapia, on its north-eastern coast, serving as the main passenger ferry arrival point. Arriving here puts you beside the town centre, making it a convenient starting point for a stay around the waterfront and central streets. The Old Harbour lies farther east along the coast: it is a distinct neighbourhood, not an alternative main ferry terminal. If you are staying towards Agia Marina or on the southern and western shores, allow for an onward journey from Dapia rather than choosing a different arrival port. On the mainland opposite, Kosta, near Porto Heli on the Argolid peninsula, is the closest coastal gateway and a useful geographical reference when approaching the island through the Peloponnese.

For a wider Greek holiday, Spetses fits naturally alongside the Argolid, where Nafplio, Epidaurus and Mycenae offer a mainland contrast to an island stay. Combining these places means allowing for both road travel across the peninsula and the sea journey, rather than treating them as neighbouring ferry stops. Hydra and Poros are other Saronic Islands to consider, although their proximity alone does not establish a direct ferry connection or a convenient order of travel. Choose your mainland approach and the islands you most want to visit first, then compare ferry journeys that support that itinerary without unnecessary backtracking.
