Ferry Travel to Premuda

Reaching Premuda by ferry brings you to a small island in Croatia’s Zadar archipelago, where the arrival harbour matters more than choosing between different towns. Its two harbours, Krijal on the western side and Loza on the northeastern side, provide access to opposite shores. Krijal is the more convenient landing point for accommodation around its bay, while Loza suits addresses closer to the northeastern coast. The main village stands uphill from the waterfront, so an arrival on either shore can still leave you with a climb to your accommodation. When choosing a crossing, match its arrival point to your host’s directions rather than relying on the island name alone.

For a wider Croatian journey, Zadar provides a useful mainland anchor, allowing you to combine the island with time in the city’s historic centre. Silba and Olib belong to the same northern part of the Zadar archipelago and are geographically natural companions to a stay on Premuda. Their proximity does not necessarily make a multi-island trip simple, however: each additional stop adds a sea transfer and another accommodation move, so fewer bases can leave more time to enjoy each place. Compare crossings for your intended travel dates before fixing the order of your island stays, especially if you also have an onward journey on the mainland.
